Start your mornings with coffee and a sunrise over the Atlantic on the spacious oceanfront deck, or dine in the cozy sunroom while waves roll in just beyond your view. In the evening, soak in spectacular sunsets and golden views from the chairs on the, peaceful back deck, a perfect spot for a glass of wine and good conversation.

Inside, you'll find delightful retro touches throughout, from nostalgic decor and original mid-century features to unique in-room vintage sinks in each bedroom. Ceiling fans keep the ocean breeze flowing, and tropical banana trees add a touch of lush island charm. The well-equipped kitchen makes meal prep a breeze, and the BBQ grill is ready for burgers after a long day on the sand.

This comfy cottage sleeps comfortably sleeps 2-4 guests across two charming bedrooms. Ideal for couples, small families, or a laid-back getaway with friends. TV, Wi-Fi, and cable are included to keep you connected if you want to be.

Pet-friendly with payment of a pet fee, so your four-legged friend can join the fun too! Bed linens (for bedrooms only) are included with weekly rentals. Towels are not provided but can be rented through Coastal Vacation Resorts.

I rented Yellow Bird Based on the pictures and because it was smaller, perfect for me and my dog. From the outside, it’s quaintly simple and definitely has the mid 60s cottage look. I was happy & smiling as soon as I stepped inside and saw how perfectly the owners had decorated, with that same throwback to the 60s beachy vibe. Spotlessly clean, with newer floors throughout, it has a well stocked kitchen, two bedrooms of good size and the bathroom is in great shape. The decor colors are vibrant and fun, with lots of tropical themed artwork placed just right. While it doesn’t have a covered back porch, there is a standing beach umbrella you can set up for shade. Best of all, it’s right on the beach, offering great views and the wonderful sound of waves and beach birds. I highly recommend Yellow Bird for a small family, two couples or a treat for yourself. It’s a fun, cozy, retro and all-around great place to stay! I’ve already booked for Fall of this year and Spring of next year!

This house was adorable and perfect for my husband and I and our furbabies. The enclosed porch is so cute with the lights and high seat to sit and watch the ocean. I didn;t think I would like it being closed in but it was perfect for storms/chilly weather. So close to the water and the pier but far enough away to have a quiet beach. Found lots of shark teeth and sea biscuits! Nothing fancy but perfect in its cozy feel. Would totally recommend.

This was our first trip to Holden Beach and although the drive took about an hour longer that beaches we typically visit, it was most definitely worth it!!! We couldn't have been happier. The house has held its charm from the 60s and has been well cared for. And! The! Beach!!! Right there!!! It was perfect!!! We took advantage of the beach gear points and had umbrellas and chairs available every day. The sand was clean and the waves were wonderful. Not many neighbors so it almost felt like we had all it to ourselves.I can't wait to book another week soon! Thank you so much!!!!-cj
